Welcome to the Bunbury Aero Club. Our services include flight training, scenic, aerial & charter flights.

The Bunbury Aero Club has a long and successful history, operating for over 45 years. During this time we have trained countless numbers of people who are now experiencing the exhilaration, fun and freedom that flying offers.  Indeed, some are now flying in careers ranging from instructing, charter flying, flying for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and major domestic and international airlines.

As a non-profit, community based organisation, our aims are simple; to promote and encourage all aspects of aviation, and to provide the best possible service and facilities for the community to enjoy. Our team of professional instructors and staff are dedicated to providing excellence in training and strive to train competent, accurate and safe pilots at minimum cost and maximum enjoyment.

From our experience, we have found that many people are surprised at the ease of gaining a pilot’s licence. Firstly, there are no formal education requirements except you must be able to read, write, and clearly understand the English language.  Whilst some theory examinations are required during your training, they are all very practical and, if required, theory classes or one-on-one theory instruction is available.

Another commonly held belief is that flying is expensive.  The Bunbury Aero Club does not require upfront payments for your training.  Your flying training is on a pay-as-you-fly basis. Your instructor will assist you in constructing a program that will suit both your budget, and any time constraints that you may have, whilst at the same time maximising your training efficiency.

It is important, in order to maximise your flying training dollar that you have a thorough understanding of what each lesson entails.  For this purpose, your instructor will give thorough pre-flight and post-flight briefings.

As a club we also believe that a social side to your training is important.  Our well-equipped facilities enable members to enjoy the fellowship that flying offers, as well as the chance to discuss your training with other students and pilots in a relaxed and informal environment.

As well as the impromptu barbecue, many social functions are organised to enable you to enjoy the friendship that Bunbury Aero Club membership offers.  In fact, we believe that our club offers a service that is unrivalled.
