“I was a member of ‘another aero club’ when I saw the web site of the Bunbury Aero Club.
I noticed they had purchased a Tecnam for private hire so I ventured down for a flight. I was only at the club for a day and very quickly realised this was a ‘real club’. The members made me feel welcome; the instructors were people who wanted to teach and not just there to acquire flight hours. This was evident with their interaction with students.
The flexibility with hiring aircraft was something I’d never experienced, the focus on keeping hire rates at an affordable level, the high level of maintenance and upgrades, the affordable training costs, the high standard of training combined with a relaxed instruction manner that allowed you to feel comfortable whilst learning the ‘trickier’ parts of flying… I was hooked.
Within the week I became a member, it meant an extra 20 minute drive from my current club but worth every kilometre.
In the past 4 years I have been a very proud member of the club and have since joined the committee to hopefully contribute to the ongoing efforts that make the ‘Bunbury Aero Club’ the great club that it is.”

“During my training to become a Commercial Pilot, I had experiences with training schools at Jandakot and then heard of the Bunbury Aero Club so thought I might see what they had to offer me in the last phase of my training.
I found the flight training enjoyable and very thorough while suiting my needs and availability, and the club environment and staff are very professional yet relaxed.
Having successfully gained the Commercial Pilot Licence and Night Rating, then completing an Instructor Rating at Jandakot, I returned to Bunbury to instruct and pass on the enjoyment of being a trainee pilot.”
