The Private Pilots Licence, whilst giving you the freedom of the open skies, is restrictive as it only allows pilots to fly during daylight hours as per Civil Aviation Regulations.
Many people wish to gain the extra scope gained by learning to fly at night, be it to allow you to depart that little later or to enjoy the beauty and satisfaction that flying on a moonlit night offers.
During your training you will be trained to fly accurately by sole reference to the aircraft’s instruments, how to accurately navigate at night using visual references and Electronic Navigational Aids and how to safely take-off and land at some of the worlds most remote airstrips at night.
- Conduct ~ 13 hours flight training in the Cessna 172
- Pass an inflight examination, thus demonstrating to the Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) that you have reached the competency level required for the issue of a Night Visual Flight Rules (NVFR) Rating
